RealtyShares is an online investment platform that uses crowdfunding to pool investors into private real estate investments. Accredited Investor members have access to extensive information on a variety of investment properties and can invest as little as $5000 into each such property. Execution of investor documents and fund transfers are handled securely through our platform as well, allowing investors to complete the entire transaction through its site.
RealtyShares targets investment opportunities in a variety of real estate asset classes, including: Residential, Commercial, Retail and Mixed-Use.
Today it offers fixed-income investments in the form of first-position loans secured by single family homes usually yielding between 8-10% annually. It’s also announced it’s plan to add equity investment opportunities in the near future.
No fees to investors on its current first position loan offerings.

Nav started his career as an Electrical Engineer and commercial real estate broker. From there, he transitioned into real estate law and prior to founding RealtyShares, worked as a Real Estate and Land Use Attorney at San Francisco based Farella Braun & Martel, LLP. As a Real Estate Attorney, Nav led some of the largest mixed-use residential, commercial and renewable energy real estate projects in California on behalf of National and International Clients including public REIT's, real estate developers, property owners, investors, non-profit housing providers and governmental agencies. Nav was named a 2013 Northern California Rising Star Lawyer, is a lecturer on real estate law and investing at UC Berkeley and graduated from UC Berkeley Law School in 2010 as the Class Valedictorian. In his free time, Nav enjoys biking, spending time with his family and exploring off-market real estate investment opportunities.

Ray began his career in finance, working in investment banking first on the Acquisition Finance team at Bear Stearns and then the Restructuring team at Lazard Frères. From there, he joined CCMP Capital as a private equity investment professional. While at CCMP, Ray evaluated both company and infrastructure investments in a variety of industries in both North America and Europe. Most recently, Ray was the Director of Business Development at a multinational corporation, leading partnership and integration efforts. Ray holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a JD from the University of Chicago Law School, and a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. In his spare time Ray enjoys camping, road trips and producing wine.
